Find the centroid of the plane region bounded by the curves: y=0, y=x^2, x=2. Assume that density is =1. Can anyone help?? Thanks

OpenStudy (alekos):

first we have to work out the area under y=x^2 A = int[x^2] 0 ->2 then we use the centroid equations x-coordinate = (1/A) int[x.x^2] 0->2 y-coordinate = (1/A) int[(1/2).(x^2)^2] 0->2

Thanks! I figured it out before you answered though, but it is nice too have something to compare with!! :D Thank you
