I think the answer is E- more energy levels but could someone check this and if I'm wrong explain? Please and thank you! Why is the ionization energy of the elements at the bottom of the periodic table less than those at the top? A- Greater number of protons in nuclei B- Smaller number of valence electrons C- Less shielding by inner electrons D- Smaller nuclei E- More energy levels

the option are to tricky here :) but i firmly say it s E the thing it decreases bcoz effective nuclear charge decreases as u move from top to bottom :) Bcoz the energy levels are far away from he nuclei hence the removal of electron will be easy :)
