knock knock
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
Hello! :D
Who's that penguin knocking at my door? :D
OpenStudy (loser66):
do you know slope = \(\dfrac{rise}{run}\)
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
Yup!
OpenStudy (loser66):
so, just take it, you should pick the point whose coordinate are integer like (1,5)

Okay, so for the first one, I would do
5/1=5
-5/-1=5
OpenStudy (loser66):
1, is "goes to the east" , that means run
5 is goes to the north, that means rise
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
Oh okay!
OpenStudy (loser66):
just pick 1 point,
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
oh lol
5/1=5

yup, and the slope is the number stands in the front of x in the equation
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
So 5x?
OpenStudy (loser66):
yup
OpenStudy (loser66):
DAT SIT
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
lol!!! 4.) is similar, but it looks harder!!

Yes, it's hard
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
Can you help me with maybe one of the general form questions? I got NO idea how to solve those lol
OpenStudy (loser66):
be honest, I don't know how to solve, y -intercept, check, but the slope is not correct
OpenStudy (loser66):
@SolomonZelman
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
That's fine! I got no idea how to solve them either lol :D

get others help, why not?
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
Yup! Thanks my Penguin bro!
OpenStudy (loser66):
please, help us. I want to know what is wrong with me, too.
OpenStudy (loser66):
It's not finding y intercept; we have to define which is the equation of the given line
OpenStudy (loser66):
for problem 4

@experimentX

@myininaya
@Mertsj
OpenStudy (loser66):
@Mertsj what do you think?
OpenStudy (mertsj):
For problem 4 all choices have same y intercept which is - 13/3. Slope of the line is obviously negative so it has to be the third choice.

no Mertsj, (-5,-1) gives us slope = 1/5
OpenStudy (mertsj):
Are we talking about problem 4 or not?
OpenStudy (loser66):
yes, problem4
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
Oh okay! That makes sense ! Thanks
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
(Sorry my computer is lagging)

?? can you copy paste your question or post screen shot? i hate to download that pdf
OpenStudy (mertsj):
The point (-2,-3) is also on the line so find the slope using the points (-5,-1) and (-2,-3)
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
@experimentX - would a word doc be better?
OpenStudy (loser66):
oh, I got you. I take my question back, hehehe @Mertsj
OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
Thank you all. So we all agree that #4 is the last answer option?

@experimentX what do you mean?
