In a polar covalent bond, electrons are transferred between atoms. electrons are shared equally between atoms. a cation is bonded to an anion. electrons are not shared equally between atoms

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

what you think ?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

why do u get polarity in molecule do u know ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was thinking it was- electrons are transferred between atoms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ik its the electrons are shared equally between atoms.

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

polarity in molecule is due to the inequlaity in the lectron distribution as result one part of molecule will be feeling less electron density and other paart will be having more electron density for example u consider HCl where Cl is more electronegative then the H so when H-Cl bond is formed the Cl sucks the bonding electrons towards it so its more rich in elctron so its partial|dw:1387208799112:dw|-ve charge and than of H will have less electron density so it will be partial +ve charge
