Help???
Geology/Earth Sciences go in Geography, not Social Science. With a CI of 10 feet, every line is an altitude increase of 10 feet. So answering a lot of those questions can be done just knowing that. If there is a 10 foot height change between two lines, the closer the lines are together, the faster the change. The three images at the very bottom of this page may help: http://www.princeton.edu/~oa/manual/mapcompass.shtml
(For the first question) so like 10,20,30,40?? etc..
The leves go up by that. |dw:1387350226034:dw| So in this, a is between 0 and 10, b is between 10 and 20, c is between 20 and 30, and d is more than 30, but less than 40. The exact value of each would depend on how steep the slope is at a given point, so can not be pinned down exactly.
And you can @ tag me in geography if you ask geology questions there.
ok also the numbers.. do they go with the letters? Cause im confused if the numbers suppose to equal the letters or not.
In my example, I did numbers for elevation. In your assignment, they did both letters and numbers as locations.
Can you help me understand i'm still confused about this.
Here is a look from the side: |dw:1387474451338:dw| Not that where the slope is gentle, goes up slowly, where it crosses the height lines are far apart. Where it goes up quickly, a step slope, they are close together. This is how a topo map relates to the slope of a hill. If you are more specific in what you don't get, I can talk about that or show you references.
