i need help ASAP!!!! for thoese who done unit 6 Lesson 3 in honor chemistry!!!!

OpenStudy (rane):

just post your question. let see if we can help u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg thakyou!

OpenStudy (rane):

your welcome :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need help with the part 2 like the table thnx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@RANE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand how im suppose to find the mass of the first part and the moles and atoms of each compound...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plzz help as much as you could thank really much :)

OpenStudy (rane):

there is no numbers/ calculation given

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i done it on paper but when i did the lad i didn't know how to find the mass of each compound...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have the molar mass but not the mass

OpenStudy (rane):

ok so can u give the calculations / any numbers that are given in order to find the mass of the compound?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was confuse when they told me to "TARE" the balance and so i did but the sheet kept on changeing and i got lost how to do it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did reseach but didnt understand how much they meat for me to put on....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i spent 3 hrs. already and i feel really streess right now :(

OpenStudy (rane):

there has to be more then just these 2 sheets of information was this an experiment or wht?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats all they gave me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you done this before?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just need help understanding how to do it..

OpenStudy (rane):

yes but there is always some other sort of information is given.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i done it and for NaCl i got 1.0308, thats was what i got for the mass... im not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but somehow i was able to find the molar mass which was 58.44

OpenStudy (rane):

oh the if u have the molar mass n= 58.44 moles then just calculate the molecular mass M and then use this formula m = nM

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sooo... it is m= 58.44X something (idk what M is)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im srry im really lost now :(

OpenStudy (rane):

M is the molecular mass its on the periodic table ok give the compounds name of which molar mass u have found

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so won't that be 58.44=M..

OpenStudy (rane):

how did u calculate 58.44?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well its sodium and cholidr (aka salt)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you show me the step of doing it ?

OpenStudy (rane):

the molecular mass of sodium is 22.99 & the molecular mass of chloride is 35.453

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i add them together and then time it with 58.44?

OpenStudy (rane):

that equals to 58.44 so thats the value of M but to find mass u need either the concentration, volume or moles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soo. what i got from your info. is : m= nM right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then m= 58.44X58.44 (what?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you done this before @RANE ?

OpenStudy (rane):

no!!!!!!! yes i have don't it but in my case they gave us the moles of the compound

OpenStudy (rane):

all u have is M nothg else, and u can't find anything with only one thing given ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry that im makeing it hard for the both of us :(

OpenStudy (rane):

i think that would help can u pls close this q' and re post this is new post

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok
