help please A 50.0 mL solution of 0.150 M HCl is mixed with 25.0 mL of 0.400 M HCl. What is the HCl concentration in the final solution? (Assume volumes are additive.)

OpenStudy (aaronq):

add the moles, divide by the total (both volumes) volume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there any formula to know (besides how to add) or that's just the way to do it?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

nope, no direct formula

OpenStudy (aaronq):

There's more to being a chemist, rather than just applying formulas :P

OpenStudy (aaronq):

other** damn autocorrect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha, aaah. I did add the moles ( .150 + .400 = .550) and then volumes (50 + 25 = 75) and divided and got a weird answer, unless i did it wrong
