Helium is the element on the periodic table with the smallest radius, but the largest first ionization energy. Explain why the patterns for these two trends are opposite one another.

Becuz the radius is smaller becuz of a stronger charge between electrons and the nucleus/protons. So u would need more energy to take/steal those valence electrons
