In what kind of reaction do two or more substances combine to form a new compound? a. decomposition reaction c. double-displacement reaction b. ionic reaction d. synthesis reaction

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

I'd go for d

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

yep it's d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep,d is right

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Lol "D"

OpenStudy (kainui):

Plants do photosynthesis which basically uses light to turn water and carbon dioxide into sugar.

In a decomposition reaction: A reactant is broken down, into smaller products. In a double displacement reaction: Two new products are formed by the 'swapping' of ions of the reactants, like NaI + HCL -> NaCl + HI In an ionic reaction, ions are reacted together to form a new products. In a synthesis reaction: smaller reactants react to create a larger product. Is it clearer now?
