Two forces with magnitudes of 150 and 75 pounds act on an object at angles of 30° and 150° respectively. Find the direction and magnitude of the resultant force. Round to two decimal places in all intermediate steps and in your final answer.
@hartnn
This is the farthest I have gotten in this equation F=\[F=150(\cos(30),\sin(30))+75(\cos150),\sin(150)\]
and then this, \[F=150(\sqrt{3}/2,1/2)+75(-\sqrt{3}/2,1/2)\]

Okay, so it looks like you can use Pythagorean Theorem in this question
if we know another side, but my equation that I have are they correct?
F = F1 + F2 and we have to separate them into 2 dimensions x and y to x direction, F_x = F1_x + F2_x = F1cos 30 + F2 cos 30 to y direction F_y = F1_y + F2_y = F1sin30 + F2 sin (60) and then F = \(\sqrt{Fx^2 +F_y^2}\)
\[F1= 150\cos(30)+150\sin(30)\] \[F2=75\cos(150)+75\sin(150)\]
Like that?
@ganeshie8 Do you have any ideas of helping me solve this equation?
right people !! @ganeshie8 hihihii
