Solve the following exponential equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[5^{x+2} - 5^{x}\]

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

is it equal to zero?

hartnn (hartnn):

or the sign in the middle is 0 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

=24 woops, thought that was written

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[5^{x+2} -5^{x} = 24\]

hartnn (hartnn):

good, use the property that \(\huge x^{m+n} = x^m \times x^n\) so what about 5^(x+2) = ... ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5^x X 5^2

hartnn (hartnn):

if you mean \(5^x 5^2\) then yes. so, \(25(5)^x- 5^x =25 \\ 24(5)^x =24\) can you solve further ? its pretty simple from here
