Roman mixes 12 Liters of8% acid solution with a 20% acid solution, which results in a 16% acid solution. A. complete the chart Liters of solution|Percent Acid|Liters of Acid| 8% |12 | | | 20% | | | | 16% | | | | B. Write an equation to determine the numbers of liters of 20% acid solution in the new mixture. C.Solve the equation. How many liters of 20% acid solution did Roman add to
the 8% acid solution? Please I need someone to explain everything I will fan and give medals! :) @ehuman
Can you help? @Riddellikins
ok great!
Ok thank you so much it actually wasn't that long! :)
@MajicMuzyk
Let's say x is the amount of the 20% acid solution. So we can use this equation: .08(12) + .2x = .16(x+12) then we simplify it: .96 + .2x = .16x + 1.92 .04x = .96 x=24 Roman should use 24 litters of 20% acid solution
That is remarkably simple :P
Yep!
Thank you for the medal @Riddellikins
No problem
Sorry got caught up in my studies thanks for making that so much clearer!!! @MajicMuzyk
