I just realised this: If we have an equilibrium reaction like for example H2 + I2 <---> 2HI we can split the reaction in the forward reaction: H2 + I2 ---> 2HI and the reverse reaction H2 + I2 <--- 2HI. But now I have learned that a reaction using an arrow like "--->" or "<---" means COMPLETE reaction. So in both of these cases you would actually think that they are both complete reactions while they are not! Its an equilibrium reaction. Does anyone know how I get out of this?

when u split that reaction which u cant do but though then u can write it like this H2 + I2 ---> 2HI and H2 + I2 <--- 2HI|dw:1389119279986:dw|
