The magnitude of the vertical force F is 80kN. If you resolve it in to components FAB and FAC that are parallel to the bars AB and AC, what are the magnitudes of the components? AB 30 degrees and AC 20 degrees.

Okay! Sorry I couldn't be of more help! I only split up vectors into orthogonal components. I never thought I'd see something like that. Do yo know what I mean?

Like, I would expect \(\angle BAC=90^\circ\)

Oh, the x and y axes are still there. This is just like resolving orthogonal components.
