OpenStudy (cybershadow):

douglas is prety right, Pottasium ion K+ combines with hydroxide ion OH- and forms pottasium hydroxide which have formula = KOH

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The chemical formula for this Ternary Ionic Compound is KOH. K has a +1 charge while the anion OH bears -1 charge. By Criss-Cross method, you will find that their subscript are all one. whenever OH paired with an ion, you should enclosed it in parenthesis when it is going to pair in an ion that not bears a +1 charge.
