write the chemical equation, ionic equation and net ionic equation for the reaction between aqueaous sodium sulfide and aqueouus copper(II) nitrate. (aqueous is dissolved in water)

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

What are the ions present in the mixture? Which ones can react to form a solid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

positive ions are sodium and copper negative ions are sulfur and nitrogen But i dont know which one can react to form a solid??

Solubility table

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Copper cations would bond with Sulphide anions giving a precipitate of Copper Sulphide. Chemical equation: \[Na _{2}S +CuSO _{4}\rightarrow CuS +Na _{2}SO _{4}\] Total ionic equation: \[2Na ^{+}+S ^{2-}+Cu ^{2+}+SO _{4} ^{2-} \rightarrow CuS+2Na ^{+}+SO _{4} ^{2-} \] Net ionic equation: \[Cu ^{2+}+S ^{2-} \rightarrow CuS\]
