Consider the elements neon, bromine, and phosphorus. Which has five electrons in its 4p sublevel?

OpenStudy (rane):

phosphorus has five electrons in its 4p sub level

Thank you very much!!

OpenStudy (rane):

yw :)

OpenStudy (jfraser):

it's not phosphorus. do out the electron configurations of all 3, and you'll see that while phosphorus has 5 valence electrons TOTAL, only 3 of them are in the p-sublevel, and it's not the 4p sublevel, either.

OpenStudy (jtfan2000):

neon

OpenStudy (jfraser):

it's not neon, either
