***Need answered ASAP***... PLEASE What happens to the temperature of the remaining liquid when some if the liquid evaporates? A. Increases B. decreases C. Does not change D. The change cannot be determine
d
Are you sure?
b) decreases. Evaporation is a cooling process. Only the most energetic molecules in the liquid are able to escape via evaporation. When they do, they leave behind the other molecules that have less energy. This means that the average energy per molecule in the remaining liquid is lower than it was before, so the temperature decreases (since temperature is a measure of the average energy per molecule.)
The source of heat will be able to heat the smaller volume more efficiently, thought the energy lost in boiling and evaporation may not make up for that. You must know the heat source to accurately judge.
The question doesn't state that it's a closed system, so the best answer is decreases. That is the point of sweating after all.
Are y'all in connections?
it would make more sense if it decrease but it would depend it could be A as well because if it evaporated then it would mean the temperature increased. Though I could be wrong, alcohol evaporates when its exposed to air so.. if that's that case C,
^^^ jus go with whatever he says lol hes usually always right
aha, they didn't say what liquid is was, soo I'd go with D then >.< <-- educated guess
It was b. it decreases
I was right :3
=.= depends.. on. the. liquid.
lol my bad then and true ^^^
Idk, I don't trust much school systems as I always correct my teacher and my answer are right, (i check) and its counted wrong... Unless you specified the question wrong
B, decreases
