Does anyone know the mass (grams) of Uranium, Sodium (Na) and Lithium?
the molar mass of every atom is found on every square of the periodic table
Thank but, there is a question that has two different answers, there's a section that says Mass (grams), and the other says Molar Mass (g/mole) which got me thinking that the two are different.
they might be, it depends on what the question is really asking. is it asking for the mass of a single atom? or the average mass of all the isotopes?
I have a feeling it's asking for the average mass.
then the average mass and the molar mass are really the same thing
in either case, i'd look up that mass on the PT
Oh. I had thought that if it was the same thing, it would be easier, but then I would have divide the two for Moles of Each Element section, and it wouldn't make sense because they would all end up in 1 mole.
Right. If you were asked for the mass of 2 moles of sodium, you'd take the molar mass and double it. if you were asked for the mass of 1/5 of a mole of sodium, you'd take the molar mass and divide by 5 molar mass is a ratio, above all else.
Oh, okay thanks I get it now. (:
