The drawing shows a person looking at a building on top of which an antenna is mounted. The horizontal distance between the person’s eyes and the building is 95.3 m. In part a the person is looking at the base of the antenna, and his line of sight makes an angle of 37.3o with the horizontal. In part b the person is looking at the top of the antenna, and his line of sight makes an angle of 39.6o with the horizontal. How tall is the antenna?

Draw a triangle with bottom a = 95.3, base labeled b opposite the angle 37.3o. Note that tan (37.3) = b/a. Solve for b, how far below his eye level the base is. Draw another triangle, with a (-39.6o) angle and get h' from a tan(39.6o), how far the antenna is above his eye level. combine b and h' to get total height of antenna.
