Find the indicated probability. Round to the nearest thousandth. A study conducted at a certain college shows that 55% of the school's graduates find a job in their chosen field within a year after graduation. Find the probability that among 7 randomly selected graduates, at least one finds a job in his or her chosen field within a year of graduating.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

this is binomial probability and can be handed by using the complementary event of P(at least 1 ) = 1 - P(non have a job) so the formula is \[^7C_{0} (0.55)^0(0.45)^7\] then subtract that value from 1 and you'll have an answer... hope it helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Need combination formula? I did not think so. Just P(at least one) = 1 - none of 7 = 1 - (0.45)^7 I think.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

that is correct..
