WRITE THE FORMULAS FOR THE FOLLOWING ATOMS. A. BORON-11 B. ALUMINUM-27

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

I am not sure what the numbers mean.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think is the atomic mass rounded because in the periodic table it says that for average boron the atomic mass is 10.81 and for aluminum is 26.98

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

I'm not sure what they mean by formula but, you can look at the periodic table: http://www.ptable.com/ to get the symbols.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because the question says, use subscripts and superscripts to write the formulas for the following atoms.

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Ohh I think they mean http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/nuclear/imgnuc/nn1.gif

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B-boron Al-aluminium thats what a person said that is the answer

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Well yea those are the symbols we write for atoms. So I wasn't sure if the mass is important here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah im just going to write that as the answer

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Alright good luck
