An 80.0 gram sample of gas was heated from 25 degrees Celsius to 225 degrees Celsius. 346 J of work was done and internal energy increased by 6925 J. What is the specific heat of the gas? I understand that I need to use the formulas: (delta)E=q+w q=m x Cs x (delta)T and basically plug in the values. The only thing that is frustrating me is what the q (heat) is. I am not sure what they mean by "q (heat) increased by 6925J." I appreciate the help.

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

E is the total energy change in the form of heat(q) and work(w).
