oh okay, no problem then! I was just trying to work off from your prior knowledge, just to help you test your skills. So the goal of solving this equations is to get the x-variable by itself 5x-32=2x+61 So you would subtract 2x from both sides. the goal in this is to get the x-variable on one side of the equation. 5x-32=2x+61 -2x -2x ---------- 3x-32=61 then, you would ad 32 to both sides, this is to eliminate the number next to the variable and ultimately solve for x. 3x-32=61 +32 +32 --------- 3x=93 then, to get 1x, divide both sides by 3 3x=93 /3 /3 x=31 ^ that right there is the solution
To check for accuracy, you can plug the x-value into the original equation. However, before I move on to that, I want to make sure you understand what I did here… Do you understand how I got x=31? @AdeyNyx ?

So to check your answer you plug the variable into the original equation. Now this may sound confusing at first, but let me show you what I mean 5x-32=2x+61 5(31)-32=2(31)+61 ^ see how 31 has replaced "x"? so then, solve each side. if the end products are equal, it means you did this problem correctly
and remember, this is not mandatory, but its a good way to ensure accuracy :D
