What is the mass percent of hydrogen in ammonium phosphate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(NH4)3PO4 has 3 N 12 H 3 P 12 O so it's 12/30, that's 40/100, that's 40%

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Mass percent is mass of what you are looking for (hydrogen) divided by mass of the whole times 100. @snuggles7, I think you calculated mole percent.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Molar mass of (NH4)3PO4 = 149.086741 g/mol Hydrogen H 1.00794 12 8.113% Nitrogen N 14.0067 3 28.185% Oxygen O 15.9994 4 42.926% Phosphor. P 30.9737 1 20.776%
