A solution contains barium ions and silver ions. What could the anion be? A chloride only B nitrate only C sulfate only D chloride or nitrate or sulfate Can someone explain this to me please :) Thank you
correct answer is "nitrate only"
Barium Sulphate is a precipitate and so is Silver Chloride.
Can you explain please, becasue i thought barium and silver can react with all 3 of them, thus would have all 3 as ions.
and my dear friend you need to put this in chemistry section :)
Ohhh i understand now! Is there any way to logically approach this other than memory of the states of compounds? And sorry, i have no idea how to do that. :P
oh between nitrate never precipitates http://openstudy.com/study#/groups/Chemistry
Most people remember the common precipitates by groups of anions. I'll see if I can find the list. By logic, you can only compare the solubility of two compounds (IDK how to check for precipitation in the absolute sense).
My dear Fellow please put this discussion in appropriate section http://openstudy.com/study#/groups/Chemistry
Thank you guys! :) Alright i wil do so :)
