my doubt is on part b). The conversion of glucose to lactic acid has an overall dG^o'=-52kcal/mol. In an anaerobic cell, this conversion is coupled to the product of 2 ATP molecules per molecule of glucose. The dG^o' for the hydrolysis of ATP is -7.7kcal/mol. a) what is the overall dG^o'? dG^o'=-52+(7.7*2)=-36.6 kcal/mol b) Calculate the efficiency of the energy conservation in the anaerobic cell. I interpret that as: efficiency =[(7.7*2)/52]*100%= 29.62 % but i'm not sure that's what's being asked, can anyone weigh in on this?
