The Annual income tax to be paid on a man's salary is as follows: The first $ 7 500 is taxed at 2 %, the next $12 500 is taxed at 5 %, the next $15 000 is taxed at 8 %, and the remainder of his salary is taxed at 12 %. (a) How much income tax must a man who earns $36000 per year pay ? (b) Give that his salary is increased by 12.5%,calculate the amount of income tax he will have to pay.

0.02*$7500 + 0.05*12500 + 0.08*15000 + 0.12* (36000-(7500+12500+15000))

same thing except you first have to add 12.5% to the 36000, the rest stays the same
