Which compound is formed from a network of bonded ions? a. sugar, C12H22O11 c. water, H2O b. methane, CH4 d. salt, NaCl
@timo86m
i dont understand this one could you help?
it's salt! NaCl (network of Na+ and Cl- ions).
It Na CL THe easiest way to see it is that Na is on left side of the table and Cl is on the right Those are ionic compounds. periodic table ----------------------- x x Na Cl
H2O i think technically can be qualified as this but they said water :P you generally think of solids when you think of networks. If they said ice h20 then i'd be really confuse but would still go with NaCl cuzz in general you dont get NaCl a salt as a liquid.
Thanks for explaining it @timo86m :)
and in general we dont count things bonded to H :)
Oh and if they give another compound that looks like this in general periodic table x x THen it is molecular compound i think. Not ionic.
i didnt just writ that idk what happen
