Molar Mass of: CaCl2 * 2H20 I got the answer 129

OpenStudy (nikato):

So CaCl2 is 110.98 2H2O is 36.04 Assuming ur * is a + Then 110.98+36.04=147.02 So ur answer was not right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, because I was told that you do not count coefficients when finding molar mass

OpenStudy (nikato):

Wait, let me check something really quickly. U might be right then

OpenStudy (nikato):

Nvm. I think I'm right. I don't know why your teacher told you to ignore the coefficients, because it doesn't really make sense, because u are trying to calculate 2 moles of H20+ 1 mole of CaCl2. If u ignore the coefficient, u would only be finding one mole of H20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright. Thanks

OpenStudy (nikato):

No problem.
