OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

@Frostbite why is ATP considered as the high energy molecule? what makes it the perfect instant energy source? and can any other molecule possibly replace it?

OpenStudy (frostbite):

The can be considered energy rich due to the bounds between the alpha, beta and gamma phosphor groups: |dw:1391708217752:dw| It is good as instant energy source because it is very easy regenerated (the addition of iorganic phosphate). Other potential molecules, could to find ATP analogies such as UTP, GTP, CTP, TTP and so on,

OpenStudy (frostbite):

But it is a rather complicated matter, because ATP serve to confidential change in enzyme making the catalytic pathway able to proceed.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

It is very very very rare cases we just see ATP hydrolyze to ADP and inorganic phosphate in biochemical reaction. Mostly when we write ATP + A -> ADP + Pi + B we mean: ATP + A -> Pi-A + ADP -> Pi-B + ADP -> Pi + B + ADP

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

ohh great:) can a molecule wid coA molecule replace ATP?

OpenStudy (frostbite):

It is two different kinds of activation... They are both energy rich (again in a different way) but each with their purpose. :)

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

ohhh..i c....

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

ty frost...u solved my problem..as always..^_^

OpenStudy (frostbite):

No problem at all. Glad I can be of help.
