A piece of aluminum occupies a volume of 14.0 milliliters and weighs 32.6 grams. What is its density of the aluminum rounded to the nearest hundredth? Only enter numerical values, which can include a decimal point.

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

\[Density = \frac{ Mass }{ Volume }\] "...Only enter numerical values, which can include a decimal point." Did the question specify in which unit we have to calculate density ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No that is the question and all that it said :/ So would it be 32.6/14.0 then divide? @LastDayWork

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And what do we convert to what because that would be 32.6 grams/14.0 milliliters @LastDayWork

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

SI unit of density is \[kg / m^3\] I am not sure in which unit should we report the answer.. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Me either....weird. So if we were to report it in grams what would the answer be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@LastDayWork

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

density = (32.6/14.0) gram/mL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you divide that and round it to the nearest hundredth it is 2.33. So would that be my answer then?

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

Yep :)
