Estimate the molecular weight of a polymer if a 100.-mL solution of 6.5 g of the polymer in toluene has an osmotic pressure of 0.044 atm at 27°C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

osmotic pressure= contration*R*temperature.. so find concentration... den no. of moles.. den molecular weight

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can u show me the steps in solving it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

temp is 300, r=8.314, osmpotic pressure = 0.044... find c(concen.) out of it.. den c= given mass /molar mass * 10 moles/litre.. find mol. mass.. u already have given mass

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry but i dont get it can u Show me the formulas to where will i substitute the givens, sorry for the bother

The correct answer is 36000 but i dont know how
