\[\frac{ 1 }{ r }+\frac{ 1 }{ 1-r } = \frac{ 2-2r }{ 1-r }\] that's what i got

nope. to add fractions, their denominators must me the same. to do so, multiply every term so that it becomes the common denominator, which in this case is r(1-r) notice that we are multiplying by 1. : \[\frac{ 1 }{ r } + \frac{ 1 }{ 1-r } = \frac{ 1 }{ r } \times \frac{ 1-r }{ 1-r } + \frac{ 1 }{ 1-r } \times \frac{ r }{ r } = \frac{ 1 - r + r }{ r(1-r) } = \frac{ 1 }{ r(1-r) }\]
