Please help!!! Best answer gets a medal! A kennel mixes two brands of dog food. Brand X cost $25 per bag, and brand Y $20 per bag. Brand X is equal to 2 carbs, 2 fat, and 2 protein. Brand Y is equal to 1 carb, 9 fat, and 3 protein. The mininum units of carbohydrates, fat, and protein are 12,36, and 24 units respectively. How many bags of each brand should be mixed to minimize cost, and what is that cost?

OpenStudy (phi):

you have three constraints: C≥12 F≥36 and P≥ 24 the # of carbs C you get from a mixture of x bags of Brand X and y bags of Brand Y is C= 2x+y we want that to be ≥ 12, so we have 2x+y≥12 similarly, for fats and proteins we have 2x+9y≥36 2x+3y≥24 plot those lines. Find the intersections of the lines. Evaluate the cost at each intersection
