can any one help me on this physics problem? i have last try to submit my answer Four +5 µC point charges are at the corners of a square of side 1 m. Find the potential at the center of the square (relative to zero potential at infinity) for each of the following conditions. (a) All the charges are positive answer: ________kV (b) Three of the charges are positive and one is negative answer: ________kV

Ok.. do you know what is the formula to calculate the potential ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k(q1q2/r1,2+q1q3/r1,3+q2q3/r2,3)

is this webassign?

@Raymond18 They have asked for potential at a point. Your formula calculates the potential energy of the system.. there is a huge difference between them Potential is defined as work done PER CHARGE to bring it from infinity to that point. so different points can have different potentials but potential energy is the work done in assembling the charges together, so .. there is just one value for potential energy of the system.. (it wouldn't make sense to ask, what is the potential energy at a point)

dude question is to find potential not potential enegy
