it might be a stupid question but im bit confused so "heat of combustion" is the same as "molar heat of combustion" right? after all heat of combustion's definition is the energy released when 1 mole of a substance is burned in a plentiful supply of oxygen.

Seems to me like they're synonymous, but it's possible that just "heat of combustion" means the amount of substance does not have to be one mole? It would be "per unit mass," but not necessarily per mole.
