Physics/math question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A thunder cloud has an electric charge of 43.2 C near the top of the cloud and -38.7 C near the bottom of the cloud. The magnitude of the electric force between these two charges is \[3.95 \times 10^{6} N\]. What is the average seperation between these charges? (\[kc=8.99 \times 10^{9} N \times m ^{2} \div C^{2}\])

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, i dont really understand what you just said, but I can wait

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

do you recognize either of those formulas...? if not give me some formulas that you think may be relevant.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

This is the only formula you need\[\Large F = k \frac{ Q_1 Q_2 }{r^2 }\] you're told the charges, Q1 and Q2, and you're told F (and is given too), all you need to do is plug in the numbers, and solve for r^2

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

So just plug in k, Q1 and Q2, and F, and rearrange to find r^2
