3. Use the following information for the next three questions. You have a container of gas particles at a temperature of 20 C at a pressure of 2.5 atm. After taking the container outside, the temperature drops to 5 C. The volume of the container has been held constant.

why do i never get help, isn't tht the idea of this site ?????????????????? :(

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Because you're not asking a question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok how do i slove for the unknown pressure

OpenStudy (abb0t):

\(\sf \frac{P_1V_1}{T_1}=\frac{P_2V_2}{T_2}\) since the volume is said to be constant, you can just assume volume = 1 for both. Now, rearrange and solve for \(\sf \color{red}{P_2}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so just plug in the numbers

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Yep. Rearrange, plug, and solve.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

p2=2.5 x 293/278, where did volume come from

OpenStudy (abb0t):

volume is constant, so assume it to be 1 L or whatveer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but this question only has temperature, which converts to K and atm or pressure, no volume or L

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Goodbye.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

peace
