Check my answers? 1. Create a graph of the pH function p(t)=-log10t. Locate on your graph where the pH value is 0 and where it is 1. You may need to zoom in on your graph. • When the pH value is 0, t would equal about 0.1. When the pH value is 1, t would equal about 0.0375. 2. A pool company forgets to bring their logarithmic charts, but they need to raise the amount of hydronium ions in a pool by 0.50. Using complete sentences, explain how your graph can be used to solve 10–y = 0.50. Find the approximate solution.

• The function is y=-logt and I need to find 10^-y=0.50. I can use the log properties that y=loga^b and then a^y=b. So with the y=-logt I can multiply both sides by -1 to get me –y=log10t then I can use the log property to get 10^-y=t. I get T=0.50 and Y=0.3.
