I will fan and medal A biologist studied the populations of black bears and brown bears over a 10-year period. The biologist modeled the populations, in thousands, with the following polynomials where x is time, in years. Black Bears: 2.3x^2 - 5.6x +2.3 Brown Bears: 2.4x^2 + 7.2x + 0.97 What polynomial models the total number of brown and black bears? A.) 4.7x^2 + 1.6x +3.27 B.) 4.7x^2 - 1.6x -3.27 C.) 4.7x^2 + 1.6x -3.27 D.) 4.7x^2 - 1.6x +3.27

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

3.27+0.97 4.7x^2 + 2.4x^2

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

ops.... sorry... i have mistype something... pls forgive me for that :( the 2 equations r 2.3x^2 - 5.6x +2.3 ---- (1) and 2.4x^2 + 7.2x + 0.97 ---- (2) and u can c the like terms r 2.3x^2 and 2.4x^2 and -5.6x and 7.2x and 2.3 and 0.97 so.. what will u get if u simplify these 2.3x^2 + 2.4x^2 = ? -5.6 x + 7.2x = ? 2.3 + 0.97 = ? remember u can add or sub the coefficient of those with "x" term

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

its okay and the 1st one is 4.7x^2 the 2nd one is 1.6x the last one is 3.27

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

yep :) and now all u have to do is write them in a row.. 4.7x^2 + 1.6x + 3.27 and that is ur answer.. :) and pls srry for my mistake above :(

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

its okay :) and thank you so very much

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

u r welcome :)
