Don't see it...
@Isaiah.Feynman @Destinymasha
There it is !
what do you think?
I know the answer... What are your thoughts
I think A
why do you think A?
or D
Why do you think D?
D because the water is flowing into a dam which with stop the water . A because once the avalanche slides down the mountain side it stops
? I don't understand your logic for A or D
When you lift a ball into the air it has potential energy. When you drop the ball you obtain kinetic energy. Right? So which of the answers relates best to what I just stated?
Lets look at a simple pendulum swinging from left to right and right to left. Once the pendulum reaches its maxim height it has potential energy, when falling/swinging to the left or right it has kinetic energy.
An avalanche sliding down a mountain side has kinetic energy.
B ?
k=1/2mv^2
depends on the velocity.
Why B?
u=mgh depends on height.
When the motorboat pulls the skier it uses kinetic energy . When it stops its potential energy
an avalanche sliding down the hill has a velocity so therefore it must not be kinetic energy. A sail boat being pushed across the water by the air has a speed/velocity, etc. So look at the equation potential=mgh
potential energy depends on mass gravity and height
if we pull the skier across the water we are exerting a force on her/him.
So the answer is the wind pushing a sailboat?
