OpenStudy (hawa123):

calculate the electronegativity difference between oxygen and hydrogen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is pretty easy to google it. Hydrogen: 2.2 Oxygen: 3.44

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, You should know that always, Electronegativities will be between 0 and 4 for any element. I would explain it as Electronegativity is a measure of how strongly an atom pulls a shared electron pair towards it. @hawa123 \(To~Calculate\) Read the electronegativity of each element off the periodic table. From the periodic table we find that hydrogen has an electronegativity of 2,1 and oxygen has an electronegativity of 3,5. The electronegativity difference 3,5−2,1=1,4 \(Ref:\) http://everythingmaths.co.za/science/grade-11/03-atomic-combinations/03-atomic-combinations-03.cnxmlplus
