@jdoe0001 or @whpalmer4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you want to solve for x??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for <ABD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

42.14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok how did u get that :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the right tiangle theorem and work triangle ABC to find that AB is 20.993. The use right triangle theorem on treiangle ABD to find that angle ABD is 42.147097

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about using trig functions? am in trig and learning those

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that is another way to do it. You would use the same steps I just did but use trig functions instead.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so could u help me in that ? i think i found x although not sure if i needed too x=21?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually it would be 20.99. Can you show me how you came to that??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait... you rounded up didnt you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes rounded up i just did \[\sin 41=\frac{ x }{ 32 }\] then multiplied by 32 to clear fraction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Looks good to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got it :) figured it out yahoo!! figured out <ABD :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since i found x i said 19/21 = .90476 then did \[\tan^{-1} (.90476) = 42\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay!!
