The table shows the result of rolling a number cube several times. Outcome, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Number of times outcome occurred, 4, 5, 5, 5, 4, 7. To the nearest percent, what is the experimental probability of rolling a 2 or a 5? A. 9% B. 23% C. 30% D. 33%

Multiply each outcome by the number of times it occurred, sum up the results. What do you get?

Well I did \[\frac{ 2 }{ 30} + \frac{ 5 }{ 30 } = \frac{ 7 }{ 30 }\]\[\frac{ 7 }{ 30 }=.2333333333...\] So I thought the answer was 23%, but the answer was 30%...

I just told you where to start. To begin with, do 1(4) + 2(5) +.....

I got 111 4 + 10 + 15 + 20 + 20 + 42 = 111

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Good, then next you do 2(5) + 5(4) divided by what you got earlier.

But that's not even 30. Maybe something's wrong somewhere.
