add coefficients to both sides so the atoms of each element are the same DO NOT ADD OR REMOVE SUBSCRIPTS for example, the 2 in 2H would be the coeficient

You just have to make sure that all the atoms are equal on both sides. So if there are 2 oxygen atoms on the left side of the reaction, there should also be 2 oxygen atoms on the right side of the reaction.
