you have f(x) which starts at 0, yes? and then goes up-right extending

yep, cause g(x) starts out 2 more than f(x) and you can imply they extend at the same rate even tho thats not given

well actually i guess it is given by g(x) = f(x) + k, cause no matter what f(x) is g(x) will always be k more than it. (in this instance, 2 more than it)
