Methane reacts with oxygen to create carbon dioxide. What are the products? a. methane and water b. oxygen and carbon doixide c. methane and oxygen d. carbon dioxide and water
don't give me the direct answer. I want for someone to explain it and HELP me find the answer :3
The answer is D, Carbon Dioxide and Water.
When an hydrocarbon, methane, reacts with water you are looking at a combustion reaction. Most of the time you can assume the products for a combustion reaction are CO2 and H2O.
I DON'T KNOW WHO TO GIVE THE BEST RESPONSE MEDAL TO TT^TT
It asks what the products are, and when you combine methane and oxygen, you get carbon Dioxide, and water. It cant be carbon dioxide AND oxegen, because thats what we used before hand. It also wont be mathane and oxegen or methan and water, because like I said before, those were what we used to create the carbon dioxide.
ohhhhhhh! Thx so much!!
so, using process of elimination, you would get d
