Find the horizontal asymptote of the graph of y = (-3x^6+5x-3)/(x^2+4x+3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the horizontal asymptote is the limit as x=>infinity and -infinity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Urebaa do you get it? or do you need more help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got y =-1/3 I'm not sure if its right tho I don't have my book to check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

unless you made a typo while typing the question, there is no horizontal asymptote.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops I did make a typo, i meant to write y = (-3x^6+5x+3)/(9x^6+4x+3) (-3 x^6+5 x+3)/(9 x^6+4 x+3) -> -1/3 as x -> ± infinity
