How many moles of cesium xenon heptafluoride (CsXeF7) can be produced from the reaction of 10.5 mol cesium fluoride with 11.0 mol xenon hexafluoride?

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

Firstly create the equation

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

CsF + XeF6 -> CsXeF7

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

Note that it's already balanced, that means 1 mole of CsF and 1 mole of XeF6 combine together to form 1 mole of CsXeF7

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

Therefore if 10.5 moles of CsF react with 11.0 moles of XeF6, 10.5 moles of CsXeF7 will be produced with 0.5 moles of XeF6 being left over.
